Shane, at 11 weeks old, learning scent discrimination, in which he has to find the one metal article that has my scent on it, picking it out of 15 other identical articles that were not handled by me. This is only his second training session for this, the first only being earlier today for about 15 minutes. The Scent Discrimination exercise is in the Utility level of AKC obedience competition.

This pup is identifying by scent the article the trainer handled from a group of five similar articles. This is not a trick.
